Where it all began
Many centuries before the Portuguese, the Dutch and the British arrived, Kedah was already a gateway for traders across Asia. As evidenced by recent discoveries of ancient ruins in the Bujang Valley, Kedah is one of the oldest civilisations in Southeast Asia.
